On January 21, 2012, Dr. Naveen Krishnan, in collaboration with the Government Higher Secondary School, Sengattupatti, conducted awareness programs for school students on the topic of "Importance of Trees."
On January 19, 2012, a handicraft training camp was organized by the Thuraiyur Forest Department for the tribal people of Top Sengattupatti in Pachamalai, Thuraiyur, through Avinashilingam University.

On December 30, 2011, Dr. Naveen Krishnan conducted a one-day training for the firefighters at Thuraiyur Fire Station on live snake rescue.
On December 27, 2011, World Forest Day was celebrated in collaboration with the Thuraiyur Forest Department.
