65th Programme:
On December 30, 2011, Dr. Naveen Krishnan
conducted a one-day training for the firefighters at Thuraiyur Fire Station on
live snake rescue. Mr. Chinnasamy, the Station Fire Officer, inaugurated and
presided over the event. Dr. Naveen Krishnan provided extensive training on how
to catch snakes without killing them, how to release captured snakes back into
their natural habitat, and how to differentiate between venomous and
non-venomous snakes.
