On July 30, 2025, Dr. Naveen Krishnan, in collaboration with the Zoology
Department of MIT Arts and Science College for Women, celebrated World Tiger
Day. The event was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Kalaivani. Dr. Naveen Krishnan
conducted an awareness session addressing questions such as: Why is World Tiger
Day celebrated? Why is the tiger called the "umbrella of the forest"?
What is the importance of wildlife conservation? And what is the role of
students in protecting wildlife?
