71st programme:
On January 21, 2012, a one-day training session
was conducted by the Forest Department for the tribals in Top Sengattupatti,
Pachamalai, Thuraiyur. M. Pichai, Assistant Conservator of Forests, presided
over the event. Dr. Naveen Krishnan provided awareness training to the tribal
people on how to protect forests, the benefits of forest conservation, why
forests should be protected, and the role of tribals in forest protection.
