63rd Programme:
On December 27, 2011, World Forest Day was
celebrated in collaboration with the Thuraiyur Forest Department. Mr. M.
Pitchai, Assistant Conservator of Forests, participated and delivered a special
address. Dr. Naveen Krishnan conducted awareness programs for school students
and the public on the importance of World Forest Day, why Forest Day is
celebrated, why forests should be protected, and the benefits of
forest conservation.
