54th programme:
On December 12, 2011, Dr. Naveen Krishnan, in
collaboration with Dhanabagyam Natarajan Government Higher Secondary School,
Perumalpalayam, conducted a Reptile Awareness Program for students. Mr. Anand,
the school principal, presided over the event. Dr. Naveen Krishnan explained
the importance of snakes, highlighting how their presence in fields reduces
rodent problems, maintains balance in the food chain, and how snakes are
farmers` friends. He conveyed this message to both
students and the public.
