53rd Programme:
On December 11, 2011, Dr. Naveen Krishnan
presented a Reptile Awareness Program at the Thuraiyur Officers Club. Mr. T.
Natarajan, President of the Thuraiyur Officers Club, presided over the event.
During the program, he dispelled superstitions about snakes and raised
awareness among the club members about the ecological role of snakes and why
they should not be killed. The audience also clearly understood how killing
snakes affects the food chain.
