502nd Programme:
On November 6, 2020, World Soil Day was celebrated in collaboration with Dr. Naveen Krishnan and the Department of Biochemistry at Vivekananda College of Arts and Science for Women, Tiruchengode. The event was inaugurated and a special address was given by Dr. Poorani, HOD of the Biotech Department. Dr. Naveen Krishnan delivered awareness sessions on the theme "Soil Our Mother" during the World Soil Day celebration. He spoke about how soil is degraded by using chemical fertilizers, how microorganisms in the soil proliferate through organic farming, the importance of conserving soil resources, and the benefits of organic farming to students.
