265th Programme:
On March 9, 2018, Dr. Naveen Krishnan, in
collaboration with the Botany Department of Bishop Heber College,
Tiruchirappalli, conducted a one-day workshop for students on "Snakes and
Ecosystem." Dr. Christopher, HOD of the department, presided over the
event. Dr. Naveen Krishnan provided detailed explanations to students on why
snakes should be protected, what "snakes and ecosystem" means, the
role of snakes in the ecosystem, their importance in food chains, and their
benefits to agricultural lands.
